County Manager

Duties & Responsibilities


The county manager is responsible for the daily management of County government and is accountable to the Board of Supervisors. The county manager duties and responsibilities include:
  • Implementation and administration of policies established by the Board of Supervisors, including the County budget
  • Interacts with County-elected officials, other governmental agencies, and community groups
  • Provides support for Board of Supervisors' initiatives and programs
  • Responds to citizen requests and inquiries
  • Supervision of appointed department heads

Support Staff


The county manager's support staff provides administrative, research, and documentary support to the Board of Supervisors in conjunction with official board meetings and functions. Public information, organizational development, and special initiatives are also overseen by the county manager.
