Education Services -- Enhancing education because every student in the county counts

The Coconino County Education Service Agency (CCESA) provides education services for students in
Coconino County, from pre-school through grade 12, ensuring that they receive an exemplary education, and that our tax dollars are used effectively. We do this with a mindset and commitment to constant innovation, and emulating educational systems that work.

For example, according to economist and Nobel  Laureate James Heckman and his colleagues at the University of Chicago, every dollar we invest in high-quality early education can save more than seven dollars later on. The relationship between a robust education system and a vibrant economy is clear, and our agency is spearheading local efforts to connect complementary systems like economic development, effective government, and education — while implementing meaningful education reforms.

Our mission is to create a world-class, authentic, research-based educational system with overt community support. By doing this, Coconino County will be a large county with even bigger ideas, and with education at the heart of all our efforts.

What we do

CCESA provides education services in the areas of political advocacy, community and professional development, school elections and financial services. We also provide direct school services through the County Accommodation District. We encourage and support the continuous improvement of all facets of school district operations, from governance, to finance, to teaching and learning.

We support and encourage long-range and strategic planning, and ensure that relevant and enriching professional development opportunities are available for all schools. We maintain a vibrant public relations program to keep the public informed about education initiatives in the county.

Finally, we do our utmost to ensure that all choices are made with the best interests of students in mind.
