Senior Services
SeniorWoman.jpg  Senior Services Case Managers provide assistance to seniors with information, referral, and home care services to enhance their quality of life in Coconino County. There are local, state, and federal programs and benefits that are often under used.

We understand that often the application process for programs can become a barrier to applying for services. Senior Services staff assists with that process in our office, on the telephone, or in the privacy of client homes.

Application and referral assistance is provided for many programs, and here are just a few:
  • Home Repairs - Appliance Replacement - Weatherization
  • Hospice
  • Benefits Checkup
  • Caregiver-Grandparent-Respite Information
  • Personal Care
  • Clothing Referrals
  • Senior Centers - Socialization
  • Elder Rights-Ombudsman
  • Telephone Assistance Programs
  • Eviction Prevention Program
  • Utility Assistance - Discounts
  • Homecare Services

As in most programs, income eligibility and/ or proof of income may be required.

Funding our Community Action Work

To fund community action and fight poverty our Senior Services programs utilize agency and foundation grants as well as individual and business donations. Community Services is an approved Qualifying Charitable Organization. Each year a list of All Qualifying Charitable Organizations is accessible via the Department of Revenue's Qualifying Charitable Organizations. Donations accepted throughout the year, are eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit – up to $200 for individuals and $400 for married couples filing jointly. If you need more information read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). Or, DONATE NOW!

Subaru Share the Love Campaign
Community Services also partners with businesses to fight poverty and fund community action. Our Senior Nutrition and Meals on Wheels program has received funding from the Subaru of America Share the Love campaign through our membership in the Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA). And, for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from November 20, 2014, through January 2, 2015, Subaru donated $250 to the purchaser’s choice of eligible charities, including MOWAA. By the end of this, the seventh “Share the Love” event, Subaru had donated $1,000 to Community Services Senior Nutrition program, and a total of $50 million to charity over the past six years – including delivery of one million meals nationwide to seniors in need. (See press release for more details.) Thank you Subaru!
