Legal Arizona Workers Act Compliance
Beginning January 1, 2008, under the new Legal Arizona Workers Act, employers in Arizona are subject to civil penalties, including revocation of all Arizona business licenses, for knowingly or intentionally employing an unauthorized alien, someone who is not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and who is not otherwise legally authorized to work in the United States.

NAU / CCC Internship
The Coconino County Attorney’s Office provides an internship program for junior and senior college students in a wide variety of majors from Northern Arizona University (NAU) and Coconino Community College (CCC).

Truancy Prevention
The truancy and status offense diversion program works in collaboration with local school districts, law enforcement agencies, the Public Defenders Office, Juvenile Court and Probation, Child Protective Services, social services agencies, behavioral health, and the Coconino County Health Department.

Victim Notification Services
The victim notification service provides legally mandated notification to victims of crime of the various hearings in the criminal justice process in which they have the opportunity to exercise their constitutional rights as a crime victim.

Victim Witness Advocacy
The County Attorney's Office subcontracts with Victim / Witness Services to provide victim advocacy services. They work closely with our office. Their advocates assist crime victims in exercising their constitutional rights as a crime victim.

Victim Compensation
The Victim Compensation Fund as administered for the County Attorney’s Office by Victim / Witness Services provides compensation to crime victims for eligible expenses directly related to the victimization.
