1. What is RANNA?

RANNA stands for the Resource Action Network of Norhtern Arizona. It evolved from the Emergency Services Network - which began some 20 years ago as a small gathering of Flagstaff area Social Service agency members. Our Network has grown into a County-wide gathering of over one hundred participating agencies and programs with the hopes of connecting with those throughout the Northern Arizona region.

As a collective, RANNA seeks to share resources & information, provide practical support to each other, cut through red tape & mobilize around specific interests. With that aim in mind, the Internet directory was conceived and implemented.

For the past fifteen years, Flagstaff & Coconino County, Arizona have been very fortunate to have a hard bound Social Services Directory produced by the Assistance League of Flagstaff. Their efforts have been completely supported by volunteers and fundraisers. A hard bound directory is critical to those who work in the field and for those who do not have computer or internet access. In an effort to broaden the existing directory, a plan was developed to create an Internet Social Services Resource Directory. Supported by the Coconino County Community Services and Information Technology Departments, and a dedicated team of RANNA members, our web-based resource directory pages include:

This information was collected with a concerted effort to include existing programs as well as identify new ones. Any omissions were unintentional. The statements regarding service information were provided by the agencies themselves and are published with a minimum of editing. Many thanks to those who put in all the time, hard work and imagination to bring this to fruition!

2. Why the frog logo?
You will notice a picture of a frog on our logo- 'rana' in Spanish is frog. We felt the frog was a positive representation of our group as it is an indicator of the health of an environment and requires nurturance and attention to survive.

3. What can this site offer me?
The Resource Directory is a website where community members and providers can search for information on Social and Human Services in Northern Arizona. Once an agency or organization is selected, you will find in-depth information about specific services, eligibility requirements, required documents, proximity to the bus system, waiting time, etc.

4. What types of organizations are included?
The Directory provides information on public, non-profit agencies and organizations including community-based organizations, volunteer groups, human service providers as well as faith-based community groups. We will only include for-profit organizations when they provide a service that is not generally available though non-profits.

5. How do I search for information in the directory?
There are 4 ways you may search for information within the Agencies / Services page of the Resource Directory.

  1. If you know the name of the agency or organization, you may enter it directly into the NAME box and then click on the SEARCH button.
  2. You may search by City or Town to find an agency or organization. Click on the small arrow alongside the LOCATION box. You will find a list of Cities to choose from. Highlight the City you would like and click on it. Then hit the SEARCH button. This will present an alphabetical list of agencies or organizations located in that City.
  3. You may also search by a type of service. Click on the small arrow alongside the SERVICE box. You will find a list of various services to choose from. Highlight the service you would like and click on it. This will present an alphabetical list of agencies or organizations listed under that service topic.
  4. There is a opportunity to scroll through all the agencies that are currently listed in the directory. Click on AGENCIES and you will find an alphabetical listing of agencies as well as there services. Simply click on the desired AGENCY and it will display the requested information.

6. Why can't I find what I am looking for?

7. How current and accurate is the directory?
On the upper, right corner of an agency listed, there will be a date that notes when an agency last updated their information. Coconino County Community Services collects information updates on an annual basis. Agencies are able to forward any changes via email or fax and Coconino County Community Services immediately updates that information.
