May 12, 2021: The Mt. Elden Estates Flood Mitigation Project broke ground on Monday, May 10. This week's work includes tree removal, installation of storm water protection measures and completion of utility lowering work. Next week's work is scheduled to include channel shaping for monsoon runoff events. This schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen factors.

Project Overview

The Mt. Elden Estates Flood Mitigation Project is an individual lot mitigation project will include, at some locations, roadway reprofiling, low-water crossings, and channel work to help convey floodwaters more safely out of the Mt. Elden Estates neighborhood. These measures are designed to only address more frequent, small-scale rain events.
