Josephine “Josie” Hammond is a born and raised Arizona Native. She has recently joined CCESA as an Interventionalist and Home/School Liaison. She will be supporting schools in Northern Arizona, in meeting the needs of teachers, students, and families, to promote student success.
Prior to joining CCESA, Josie has spent the past 27 years working in public education as a master classroom teacher at the elementary and middle school levels, mentor to first-year teachers, peer coach, professional development coordinator, site testing coordinator, academic coach, and instructional specialist. Josie has received various awards and recognitions over the years, with her most recent, “Outstanding Educator Award”, from the Arizona FLINN Foundation in 2020. Josie received her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, from Grand Canyon University.
