Coconino County is proud to unveil a new and important capability on its website Coconino.az.gov, which allows for seamless translation from English to over 105 other languages. This new feature is powered by Google and was enabled to ensure the County is not only providing important updates and information in each citizen’s preferred language but doing so immediately and simultaneously with information provided in English.

“Coconino County is a wonderfully diverse place, with many languages and cultures that we celebrate. It has long been a priority and a value for the County to reach all residents, regardless of where they live or what language they speak. This important upgrade now gives us the tools we need to communicate effectively with all members of our community, which is always important, but especially in times of emergencies or health crises like the one we face today,” said Sup. Liz Archuleta, Chair of the Board of Supervisors.

Coconino County will continue to post to its website in the English language and residents may navigate to a widget on the homepage allowing individuals to ‘select language.’ The widget for translation is found on the bottom left of the screen on either a desktop or mobile device browser. Due to the complexity of translation some website spacing may appear and regional dialects or variations of a language may not be reflected in the translation.
