PP Manufactured Homes: Why am I receiving a tax bill for a home I no longer own?
Usually it’s because the new owner has not had a new title issued in their name. The Assessor’s office uses Motor Vehicle Dept records to update the tax roll. The Assessor’s office cannot change ownership information until a new title is issued. Unfortunately, as long as your name remains as owner on Motor Vehicle Records, you will receive the tax bill. You can contact the Motor Vehicle Dept and submit a Notice of Sale. You can do this online at Service Arizona - EZ Sold website.

If you know the new owner's information you can ask the Treasurer’s office to send the new owner a duplicate bill. Neither the Assessor's office nor the Treasurer's office can make a determination as to who is responsible for the taxes. Our records merely show ownership and billing information.
