1. Would a PDF quotation be sufficient in lieu of a Word document?

Yes, a PDF submission would be acceptable.

2. How many pet licenses are issued per year?

We issue approximately 7,500 dog licenses annually.

3. What is the current rate structure?

Fees are as follows:
Late Fe = $2.00;
Altered (spay/ neuter) License = $12;
Non-Altered License = $25;
Kennel License Late Fee = $50;
Kennel License = $200;
Insufficient Funds Fee = $20;
Multi-Dog License Altered = $90;
Multi-Dog License = $120;
Pet Shop License = $265;
Replacement Tag = $12.

A "Multi-Dog license" is for more than 10 dogs in one location, e.g. hunting club

4. Approximately how many Citations are issued annually?

2014 saw 1,027 Cases logged (not all were citations; some included code enforcement officers dealing with wildlife – rabies, etc.)

5. What is the approximate current total revenue collected by Coconino annually from pet licensing, animal control and citations?

Annual receipts for Calendar year 2014 were $88,526

6. What software is currently used by Coconino for Pet Licensing and Animal Control?

Current software is “Interlocking” by Paladin Data (custom deployed in 2005, and no longer supported)

7. Have you evaluated or attempted to implement any other system(s) within the last 18 months?

Yes. Contract was terminated, however, as the vendor failed to deliver on the requirement of an integrated data system linking licenses to code enforcement, and database was structured around the animal as Primary Key, not the Owner. This resulted in an inability to group and display dogs by owner.

8. When would you like to (or plan to) be live on your new Pet Licensing and Animal Control Software?

We would like to go live in July 2015, but recognize that timeframe may not be realistic. The legacy software sits on a 2003 server which will no longer receive Microsoft security patches after July 14, 2015.

9. How many named users will need access to the system?

About 10 users.

10. Will the County consider a SaaS solution?

Yes.
